Sitting atop of wide expanse of land (30 plots of land) in one of the choicest locations along Afao road, the proposed permanent site of the Ado North Local Council Development Area, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA Hon. Yomi Osho has shed more lights on why he embarked on the project despite the precarious financial situation of the council area.

He stated this at a town hall meeting he held with leaders and stakeholders of Ado North LCDA last week where he gave account of his stewardship.

Speaking at the political gathering, Hon Osho said; “We have our focus as a people that because of the belief that Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu who is the president of Nigeria today is the father of LCDAs in Nigeria. If by tomorrow the government decides to upgrade the present LCDAs to full fledged Local Councils then we can be said to be counted among the lot”.

He noted that so far, there has been proposal for four Local Councils in Ado before the government, praying that Ado North would get the approval of the federal authorities.

“But we took this painful but decisive step in order to fulfill all righteousness when the time comes for final approval so that we would not be caught unawares or unprepared for the eventual take-off”.

Speaking on his modest achievements since assuming office over one year ago, the council boss sited a project at Ojumose which was abandoned by the immediate past administration but completed under his administration in collaboration with other 3 LCDAs in the state capital.

He also listed some properties of Ado Local Government which had long being taken over by land grabbers some of which his administration has recovered.
He said the council has been able to secure all government lands through proper documentation ensuring that the LCDA has obtained all the necessary papers such as the Cof 0 and survey where necessary.
Also in the list is the recovery of Mojere Market from encroachment adding that work has not stopped in renovation, construction of market stalls, drainages to prevent erosion across the LCDA.

Hon Osho in addition unfolded the plan of his administration to empower the widows to demonstrate his commitment to the welfare of the people.

One of the high points of the event was the unanimous endorsement of Osho for a second term by the party leaders
