The REC said this while declaring open a one-day Voter Education Implementation Workshop for the staff of the Commission held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. He explained that at the end of the workshop, participants would be able to speak confidently on the programmes of the Commission.

Dr Teller, said sixteen political parties would take part in the forthcoming Ekiti gubernatorial election on June18, 2022.

“You will agree with me that no other time is more auspicious for us to hold the meeting than now when Ekiti governorship election is just few weeks away. This meeting is a clear indication of the determination of the Commission to conduct a free, fair and acceptable governorship election in Ekiti State. And as the saying goes, he who fails to plan, plans to fail”.

The electoral boss also remarked that it is his aim to see that the bar to ensure standard election is raised high by the INEC to the extent of making it a very track record to beat subsequent elections that would be conducted including the 2023 election.

There were contributions from stakeholders at the workshop, drawn from the National Orientation Agency , National Youths Service Corps, Civil Society Organizations, the media among others.
