Organizers of the annual Ekiti Obas Youth Football Championship -De Gogetter Multilinks, has congratulated the immediate past Chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, the Onisan of Isan Ekiti who recently bagged Doctor of Science in Business Administration from the Libral Bilingual University, Togo.described the feat as impressive, laudable and worthy of emulation.
The royal father was commended for forging ahead in the pursuit of new academic achievement not minding his ever challenging position as a royal father.
De Gogetter Multi Links noted that the royal father has proven to be a goalgetter of repute on various fronts having achieved enviable feats at different endeavours of life.
The Ekiti based Sports promoting outfit in it’s congratulatory message said oba Gabriel Adejuwon’s name shall remain indelible having been the Obas Council chairman who facilitated the annual Ekiti Obas Cup by embracing and supporting it in all ramifications.
While praying for more wisdom and all the wherewithal to continue to lead his people, The Gogetter Multi Links said Ekiti youths will forever be grateful to him for his rare show of love at all times.
In the same vein, the organizers of Ekiti Obas Cup have expressed heartfelt appreciation to some prominent personalities of Ado Ekiti and Iyin Ekiti extraction on their moral and financial support towards the recently concluded Youth Soccer Championship.
Head of the Organizing Committee, Qozeem Oladapo on behalf of other committee members gave special commendation to the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe and the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeniyi Adeola Ajakaiye for their personal and moral contributions to the competition.
He noted that the two esteemed royal fathers had helped to galvanize support for Ekiti Obas Cup through prominent sons and daughters of Ado Ekiti and Iyin Ekiti.
Recall that the Ewi and Oluyin who personally hosted the Ekiti Obas Cup trophy at their palaces being two of the Pillars of Support for the competition.
Cash rewards for the top 3 teams at the end of the Second edition of Ekiti Obas Cup were donated by prominent personalities from Ado Ekiti and Iyin Ekiti while personalities from Isan Ekiti on the name Onisan of Isan-Ekiti are working on a scholarship scheme for some of the outstanding players discovered during the Under 18 tournament.
Also appreciated were Hon Mrs Jumoke Olaniyan who championed the fund raising in Ado Ekiti and Hon Israel Adesokan (Jaru) who championed that of Iyin Ekiti on behalf of the two royal fathers.
Official letters of appreciation and acknowledgement of financial support is to be presented to the Ewi In Council and Oluyin in Council this week for the royal fathers to know those who supported the Obas on their behalf.
