A two-term Nigeria’s Ambassador to Hungary and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Her Excellency (Dr) Eniola Ajayi has condemned the ambush and murder of two Ekiti Obas describing it as the height of sacrilege to the revered traditional institution.
In a press statement reacting to the sad incident which happened on Monday along Oke Ako in Ajoni LCDA ikole-Ekiti, the Iyin Ekiti- born diplomat sympathized with the families of the slain monarchs, the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin and Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola.
Dr Ajayi also commiserate with the Ekiti State Council of Traditional rulers on the tragic loss of their members while calling for speedy and deeper investigation on the unfortunate occurrence.
Amb. Dr.Ajayi commended Governor Biodun.Oyebanji for his quick reaction on the unfortunate incident which had averted a breakdown of law and order in the State.
She also prayed for the repose of the souls of the slain Obas adding that the Lord God will give their families the fortitude to bear the irrevocable loss as they mourn their passing.
