EKSG APPLAUDS NATOP’S 2023 AGM ACHIEVEMENTS, SUPPORTS ASSOCIATION WITH N5 Million

The Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) has received immense goodwill and needed recognition and from the Ekiti State Government for its exceptional achievements during the 7th Annual General Meeting/ Tourism Conference held in the state.

The event, which took place recently showcased the state’s immense potential in the tourism sector and its commitment to fostering growth and development.

The Ekiti State Government demonstrated its unwavering support to the association by donating a sum of 5 million Naira to NATOP.

This significant financial contribution highlights the state’s dedication to promoting tourism and creating investment opportunities within Ekiti State.

Mrs. Ime Udo, the National President of NATOP, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the generous donation. She emphasized the importance of such support in achieving the association’s objectives and paving the way for a mutually beneficial partnership between NATOP and the Ekiti State Government.

During the 2023 AGM/ Tourism Conference, participants from across Nigeria and beyond were impressed by the emerging tourism products and the state’s efforts in developing the sector. Ekiti State’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes were showcased, reflecting the zeal with which the state’s administration is driving tourism development.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji who was the Keynote Speaker for NATOP 2023 AGM & Conference was represented by Mrs. Tayo Adeola, the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Government on Industry, Trade & Investment, at the event.

She lauded NATOP’s remarkable achievements during the conference and commended their dedication to the growth of tourism in Nigeria while also expressing government’s willingness to collaborate with associations like NATOP to further boost the tourism industry in Ekiti State.

With the generous support of the Ekiti State Government and the commitment of NATOP and other stakeholders, there is growing confidence that Ekiti State will transform into a prime destination for tourists, investors, and enthusiasts alike. The successful conclusion of the 2023 AGM/ Tourism Conference marks a significant milestone in the journey towards elevating Ekiti State’s tourism industry.
