New Executives Emerge At Ekiti TUC

The Chairman Trade Union Congres (TUC), Ekiti State Chapter, Comrade Sola Adigun, has reiterated his commitment to make the welfare of his members a priority.

He restated this while speaking with journalists at the 5th triennial conference of the Union held in Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital, after his reelection for the second term in office as the leader of the Union.

In his remarks, Adigun promised that none of his members including the affiliate members will lose his or her job. Saying protecting the job of his members is paramount to him. Adding that he would also ensure that they work in a dignified environment.

The Chairman who said he has never betrayed the course of his members equally pledged not to do so as he promised his members to expect more from him during his this second term in office.

As part of his bids to see to the welfare of his members, the TUC leader explained that none of his members will support any candidate contesting for governorship position in the State if such candidate couldn’t convince the leadership of the Union that he or she would be able to solve the mirage of problems that workers are facing.

“The candidate must be able to convince us and be ready to put it in black and white how the pains of the workers will be alleviated “. Adigun said.

The Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Ekiti State Chapter, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde Joshua, while felicitating with his counterpart described, Adigun as a man that loves workers and always works assiduously to see that welfare of workers is paramount.

Speaking on the manner in which the election that brought Comrade Sola Adigun in as TUC Chairman for the second term was conducted, the Chairman of the 5th trenial Congress of TUC, Comrade Oluropo Adeleke, said it was peaceful. Adding that only those that were not able to meet up with the electoral requirements were disqualified from the election while every other qualified person participated.

The newly elected officers are; Com. Olusola Omoleye, Vice Chairman1, Com. Olabiwonnu, Vice Chairman 2, Com. Yomi Peters Secretary, Com. Akande Kolawole, Treasurer, Com. Makanjuola Cornelius, P.R.O, Com. Oluwafemi Anthony Abiodun, Financial Secretary, Com. Lateef Oladapo, Auditor, and Com, Omolola Farotimi, Auditor 2. Others are Com. Arigbede Anthony Ayodeji, Asst. Secretary, Com. Kemi Ogundele, Chairperson Women Commission.
