By Lekan Adejuwon

To forestall any unforseen circumstances of students rampage on the campus, the governing board of Ekiti State University EKSU, has closed down the institution for the next two weeks.
In a press statement signed by Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr Bode Olofinmuwagun and made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the school said;
“The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun, on behalf of the university Senate, has approved the suspension of academic activities on campus for two (2) weeks with effect from today, 11th April, 2023.

“Arising from the above, all students of the university are ordered to vacate the campus premises immediately and should not be seen within the campus premises for the next two weeks.

“Parents and guardians are hereby advised to invite their wards home immediately.
“Any student found wandering around the university premises does so at his/her own risk”
Unconfirmed reports say the development was not unconnected with protest being planned by students over hike in fees
