On Thursday, the elegant and ultra modern Ekiti Central Bus Terminal was commissioned by former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who initiated the project but completed by Governor Oyebanji, who has proven to be a good Symbol of continuity in Nigeria.
The commissioning may have come and gone but not without some words on marble made by the keynote speakers at the historical event.
They are the two governors (BAO & JKF) his Imperial Majesty the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe.
“Thank God for the foresight of former Governor John Kayode Fayemi, who initiated this journey. Today, we can all witness the beauty of continuity.”
Excerpts;
“Today, we appreciate the benefits of continuity. I appeal to you politicians to allow these two gentlemen to collaborate effectively. JKF served for eight years, giving his best, and we believe he is going higher . Now, it’s the turn of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. Both belong to the APC, and we expect them to bring prosperity to Ekiti. We anticipate the arrival of industries in Ekiti, but this requires the cooperation of all.”

“Again,let me clarify , do not come between me and Oga (JKF). We are inseparable, and I urge our party members not to waste their time undermining our unity. I do not tolerate gossip; if you come to me and return to him with negative tales, we will take note. Please, respect our partnership and allow us to develop the state for the benefit of all. You cannot come to me and speak ill of Oga because I won’t grant you that access. So, those who attempt to backstab us, consider yourselves inconsequential and hindrances to the party’s progress.”

I want to emphasize that I have no reason to abandon or quarrel with Governor Oyebanji . I can’t abandon a project I initiated. BAO’s choice wasn’t driven by emotions . BAO was carefully researched and prayerfully endorsed.”
