The newly registered National Association of Nigerian Travel Agency NANTA, has reiterated its commitment to effective sanitization of travels and tours industry with a view to render a legitimate smooth services to the people of Ekiti State.
Speaking to our correspondent after obtaining the certificate of registration from the office of Ekiti Bureau of Tourism, the spokesperson of the travel agency Mr Adeoye Moka who expressed delight at the occasion disclosed that the industry has been contaminated by quacks who often swindle unsuspecting members of the Public in the name of travel agency.
“You know we have a lot of people operating out there claiming they are travel agencies but they are fakes whose intention was to scam the people. That is why we came on board to sanitize the industry and to also sentize the general public to inform them that they must deal with legit and authentic travel agents operating in this State”
Speaking on the arrays of services NANTA will render in Ekiti, Moka said; “If people want to process his or her visa to go abroad either for education, visit or vacation, we are the people that these category of people would meet. If some other people want to get flight tickets, we are also on ground to help them process that, other services we render include: hotel reservation, travel itinary to mention a few”
On measures being put in place in the area of sentization of Ekiti people on their operations, NANTA spokesperson person disclosed that the association has launched a huge publicity campaigns in many radio stations in Ekiti as well as in the social media including the traditional media to tell our people the need to work with legit and original travel agents.
In addition, he said; “We have an event coming up on February 14 where we are going to create the awareness in the minds of members of the public to see us as reliable and trusted association to partner with” he said.
