MAN NABBED FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE IN EKITI

The Amotekun Operatives, Ekiti South West Local Government Command on Tuesday, apprehended a 25-year-old Ojo Adewunmi, a native of llawe for attempted rape.

In a press release by the Head Amotekun Communication Department Officer Adeleye Adewale, the suspected rapist was caught in the act of attempting to forcefully had a carnal knowledge of 19-year-old school girl (name withheld).

According to the arresting officeers, the suspect lured the victim to his room and forcefully locked the door in a dastardly mission to rape her.

But the lady put up a spirited fight trying to free herself and crying for help which frustrated the devilish mission of the suspect as the patrol team of Amotekun operatives arrived the scene.

Upon interrogation, the lady narrated her nasty experience noting that she became helpless and hopeless after screaming for needed help from passers by until the arrival of the Officers of the Corps who rescued her.

The suspect has since been handed over to the Police Division in llawe-Ekiti for further investigation.
