A patriotic Ekiti indigene in the diaspora, Mr Olawumi Olaniyan has expressed his happiness at the emergence of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as the governor of Ekiti State vowing to give his ultimate support for the success of his administration.
The Aramoko Ekiti-born business man and industrialist who recently flew into the country from Germany, called on other well meaning Ekiti sons and daughters around the globe to rally round the state number one citizen in his determined efforts to make the state economically viable and prosperous among the comity of states in Nigeria.
Olaniyan stated this in an exclusive interview with EKITI STANDARD held at the headquarters of his multi million naira business outfit in Ado Ekiti.
He said he was motivated to relocate to his father land as soon as the news got to him in Germany that Governor Oyebanji was declared as the state Governor last year.
According to him, “My joy knew no bounds when I heard that my brother, BAO was declared as the Governor at my base in Germany where I have spent the last 26 years.
“Since charity begins at home, the thought of coming home to invest and create employment opportunity for the people soon agitated my mind and that was why I made the bold move to come home and established this business venture in Ekiti”.
The 56 year-old entrepreneur who has since returned to his base spoke to our correspondent on his plans to bring some foreign partners to Ekiti and meet with the state governor on areas of collaboration amongst others. Details soon…
