…Seeks collaboration of Ekiti online Journalists

The management of the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti has promised to continue to put in place adequate measures to ensure its patients have access to quality medical health care services.
The Chief Medical Director of the Teaching Hospital, Professor Kunle Ajayi made the promise when members of the Nigeria Union of journalists NUJ, Ekiti State online chapel paid him courtesy visit in his office, Ido Ekiti.
Professor Ajayi explained that the major priority of the Teaching Hospital is to ensure that patients have access to quality and standard health care delivery, saying such would not be compromised.
The CMD noted that the management of the hospital had agreed to give priority to treatment of patients above money, noting that many patients were attended to before demanding for money.
According to him, some of the staff of the hospital also contributed their money to pay for the treatment and other needs of patients who find it difficult to pay hospital bill and purchase necessary drugs.
” In Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti, we have enough hands to treat different kinds of ailments, as I am speaking with you , we have about one hundred consultants in the facility.
” The facility also served as a training ground for Medical students due to competent and qualified personel working in the facility”
He commended the efforts of president Muhammadu Buhari for providing human, equipment and infrastructural facility for the hospital to perform excellently.
The CMD therefore nodded t the versatility of the online platform, while expressing readiness to partner with members of the the Chapel to project all activities of the hospital to the whole world.
“It’s unfortunate that some write stories about Hospitals without a recourse to facts.
He urged members of the online media to be objective in their reportage and shun any story that may cause damage to the society.
“On this note, I want to promise you that we will engage you to the best of our ability.”
Earlier, the Ekiti Online Chapel led by its Chairman, Comrade Ayodele Abere stated that the purpose of the visit is to familiarize the Online platform members with the establishment, as they remain the only avenue that can properly project their activities.
He noted that online platform has become a versatile platform that compared to other media platforms.
In his words, “The purpose of our visit is to familiarize ourselves with your establishment. Online has become an indispensable platform that we can’t do without.
“The Online medium is very fast, compared to Radio and Print. You can share the news and everybody will be able to read news about the Hospital, even in abroad.
“It’s the major platform that can project you well and we are ready to work with you
