ASABA 2023 YOUTH GAMES ENDS AS TEAM EKITI BAGS 7 MEDALS

After 8 days of gruelling competitions, the 7th National Youth Games officially comes to an end today Saturday 30th of September, 2023 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State. 

TeamEkiti finishes 18th with 7 medals (2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze).

Despite finishing 18th on the medal table, It has been an awesome time of competition, bonding, making friends, building intimacy and developing healthy rivalries for the #TeamEkiti athletes. 

Bringing the best young talents in the state and giving them the platform to do what they love the most is something that will forever be in their heart.

Medals may have been won and lost but the reality is that every athletes here are champions, whether they have a medal around their neck or not.”

These are the importance of preparation, the benefits of discipline, the power of focus, the essence of teamwork, the joy of winning, and the spirit of sportsmanship.

We hope the young promising lads continue to strive for greatness on and off the field and do well in the next edition of the youth games coming up next year.
