Men of the Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has paraded three suspects who specialized in refining and selling of substance suspected to be Cannabis sativa popularly known as India hemp
The suspects Agbekeye Ayomide, 22, Oladimeji Akintomiwa, 21, and Agbeleye Beulah, 20, were arrested at Zone 1 Olorunda Adebayo in Ado metropolis where they were selling the products.
In a statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Tolulope Afolabi, said following a series of complaints by the Olorunda landlords about the activities of drug peddlers in the area, the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the command swung into action and arrested the suspects.
Items recovered from the suspects included wrapped substances suspected to be Cannabis sativa and other materials being used in processing the suspected substance into chips
