YULETIDE SEASON: EKITI AMOTEKUN PROMISES TOUGH TIME FOR CRIMINALS

The Ekiti State Command of the Western Nigerian Security Network also known as Amotekun has expressed its determination to combat crimes and criminality ahead of the yuletide season across the state and the environs.

The security outfit in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday states; “The coming weeks to the New Year are going to be tough for hardened criminals who are notorious at using guns and other offensive weapons in Ekiti State.

“This is a as a result of the renewed collaborations between the South West Zonal Office of the NCCSALW and the Ekiti State Security Network also known as Amotekun Corps.

“The two outfits have agreed to step up their operations and cooperate effectively in the information and intelligence sharing, to nip crimes in the bud.

“This agreement was sealed today, 16th November 2023, when the Zonal Coordinator, South West Zone, Mr Ben Sola Akinlade, visited Amotekun Headquarters on a Courtesy Call in Ado Ekiti.

“To this end, the Corps Commander, Amotekun Corps, Brig Gen Ibukun Adewa (Rtd), agreed to set a day aside soon to assemble representatives of his men on various deployments, across the State, for the Zonal Coordinator to come and address them, as well as educating them more on the essential areas the NCCSALW wants them to cooperate under the on-going campaign of “If you See Something, Say Something”.
