WITH A HEART OF GOLD, CCM CARES FOR THE LIVING

Taking a cue from her legendary mentor Mother Teresa of Calcutta, India, Cynthia James, an African American has the milk of human kindness and blood of sympathy flowing in her veins right from her growing up years.

She lives a life that is dedicated to the nobliest ideal of what she knows how to do best,-putting smiles on the faces of the poor people across the globe, a philanthropist of high repute, a motivational speaker, a mother and preacher of the word,

Pastor Mrs Cynthia James has
touched the lives of thousands of the poor and the vulnerable across many parts of the world.

Speaking to our correspondent from her US home, the charming CEO of her Comfort Chilrem Mission International inc, CCM, tells the story of how the spirit of the Lord led her to establish the humanitarian outfit. According to her;

“Comfort Chilren Ministry International (inc) a non- governmental and non-profit organization with 501, (c) (3) status located in Hudson Valley area, Orange country, New York was founded in October 26, 1999”

On what prompted her to embark on the difficult journey since the past 25 years ago, Mrs James said she was overwhelmed by the outrageous number of orphans globally.

According to her; “A UNICEF report says approximately about 150 million children are orphans and one of the vulnerable groups who face a high risk of sexual and labour exploitation including organ trafficking and limited access to education amongst other vices”.

Going further, the CEO CCM said: “The vision of CCM therefore was borne out of passion for these children in its determination to help them break the cycles of poverty by addressing critical needs through early intervention for homeless orphans, abused and neglected children such as providing education, food clothing and housing etc”

The mission which started in 1999 at Liberia like a grain of mustard seed has grown in leaps and bounds traverses at least 21 countries including the US. UK, Liberia, Ghana Cote D’ivoire, Togo, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey, India..to mention a few.

At a recent visit to Nigeria, the CEO, CCM train stopped at Cortina Nursery and Primary School, Ikorodu Lagos after paying coutesy visit to some orphanages in the metropolis showering the occupants with food and gift items.
The team also provided enough food items, clothing to children at the Upper Room Mission, Satellite Town as well as Kings field Nursery and Primary also in Ikorodu.

At Cortina Nursery and Primary School, the CEO spent quality time with the pupils who were in exciting mood to wine and dine with the charismatic world citizen.

In her brief address the CEO reinstated her commitment to see a world that is free from hunger poverty and disease. She says, “I have made a strong commitment to use my resources and God given talent to give a helping hand to millions of helpless and orphan children across the world through my NGO CCM because of my belief that to whom much is given much is expected and in agreement with a songstress that says reach out and touch somebody’s hand, makes this world better if you can”

Responding, the proprietress of the school, Mrs Modupe Macaulay expressed her appreciation for the kind gestures of the Mission saying it would go a long way in putting smiles on the faces of the children while urging CCM to continue in her good work as she enjoined all other public spirited people in the society to emulate CCM footprints in helping the society.

On how she got funding for her pet project, the CEO disclosed that she gets a lot of supports from individuals, corporate organizations and lovers of children besides her personal resources which formed the major source of funding the organization.
