WHY UDIROKO IS SIGNIFICANT TO ADO PEOPLE….MARY OSO-OMOTOSO

The Director General, Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso has shed more lights on the importance of Udiroko Festival to the people of Ado Ekiti.

The elated Governor’s aide who mobilized her strong team at a special stand inside the main bowl of Ewi’s Palace arcade yesterday said the festival is a unifier of all Ado sons and daughters.

In an exclusive interview with our correspondent, Mary Omotoso said;
“The significance of Udiroko Festival is that it unifies all Ado sons and daughters. It’s also a reminder to the rich cultural heritage of Ado Ekiti and in addition to whom we are as a people”
Reacting to another question, the DG emphasized the huge importance the governor of Ekiti State Mr Biodun Oyebanji placed on the promotion of Culture and Tourism in his 6 points agenda. Her words;.


“Apart from the fact that this is my town, we have made it a policy that every significant cultural festival in every town, we will celebrate and promote it through our platform as you know that the Governor of Ekiti is very intentional in promoting Arts and Culture to create wealth”
On the agenda of her team who seemed to have occupied a conspicuous space at the venue, Mary Omotoso said the main agenda of the group was to promote the Governor for continuity.
