Multi-talented Ekiti-born music star, Prince Christopher Olawole Igbeda a.k.a Prince Walawala has set in motion machineries that would change the face of entertainment industry in Ekiti State to an enviable height.
In an exclusive interview with Ekiti Standard, the artiste whose solo single, hit the airwaves during the governorship Campaign last, year has had fortunes smiled on him as the song is currently trending in radio stations and public places across the State.
He spoke of his lofty dreams to make Ekiti a destination point for the development of music, arts and culture.
The award winning musician will soon unveil his ultra modern music empire complete with a state of the art studio and a standard club which he tagged “Walawala Music Entertainment Palace”.
Work at the all-white storey building is at jet speed as at the time of filing this report.
In the words of Igbara Odo-born thespian: “My projection is to establish a befitting entertainment center for Ekiti people and the visitors as Mr Governor is seriously working on arts and Tourism sector in Ekiti. When this project is completed, a lot of visitors can come around to listen to good music, come and watch variety shows and the likes so that all these things we have been missing for long will be made available in our music palace here and, we are almost through anyway”.
Talking of the facilities in the entertainment center, Walawala who is an alumnus of Ekiti State University said; “We have our studio almost completed. We have a business center, an admin office most especially our garden where most important personalities can enjoy good music relax and watch entertainment at its best. We even earmarked a place where a lot of our jobless and talented youths can be engaged and develop themselves. All these are underway as we believe that Mr Governor will not relent in his support for us because we still lack mobility”
Speaking further on his vision for entertainment industry in Ekiti State, Walawala said: “I had the vision of projecting the upcoming artistes that is why I’m working on my record label and this is going to materialize in a very short while so that we will be able to project the cultural heritage of our people as well as to develop the upcoming artistes in Ekiti because we have very many of them lying waste untapped out there”
In his final remarks to his numerous fans, Walawala dropped the hint that his latest album will be out very soon which promises to be the best.
