Following a feedback channelled through the Office of Community Communications concerning the deteriorating condition of a block of classroom in St Andrew’s Primary School in Oke Ila, Ado Ekiti, Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Monday, acted swiftly to address the issue.
This was, as he issued a directive to the Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi to conduct a thorough inspection of the school today, Tuesday 9th January.
According to the new development, beyond inspection of the failed structure, the dilapidated structure had been ordered to be pulled down while fresh construction is to commence immediately.
In a press statement from the office of the DG, Community Communications, “Governor Oyebanji has not only established accessible feedback channels for citizens to engage seamlessly with the Government but also treats every piece of feedback with the utmost importance.
“This swift response underscores the Governor’s unwavering commitment to education, aiming to create a conducive learning and teaching environment”.
