OYEBANJI OFFERS LIFELINE TO 79 YEAR-OLD LONELY WIDOW

The pitiable plight of a 79 year-old woman simply identified as Victoria Ajisafe caught the attention of Governor Biodun Oyebanji at the weekend during a routine outreach to the needy by the office of Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communications.

According to reports, the Ilawe-Ekiti-born Madam Victoria Ajisafe, 79, is a lonely widow abandoned and living in isolation for years.

According to residents in the neighborhood, Mama Victoria has had no visitors or family support for many years, leaving her to struggle on her own.

Incidentally, a few good Samaritans in the community have been providing her with some assistance. Mama was said to have collapsed several times owing to hunger.

Her situation was brought to light by the Landlords’ Association in the area to the Governor through the office of Bureau of Community Communications.

Mr Governor in his characteristic passion for the welfare of older citizens in the state, swiftly despatched a delegation to check on the old woman to offer immediate relief such as food items and cash in addition to monthly allowance for her upkeep.
