In order to stem the tide of insecurity and fostering better understanding between farmers and herdsmen in Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Friday, inaugurated Farmers- Herders Peace Committee in Ado Ekiti.
The body is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a peaceful and conducive working atmosphere between the herders and farmers in the state.
The committee which comprises of critical stakeholders such as farmers, herders, security agents, community leaders and government officials is to ensure food security in line with the agriculture and rural development agenda of the BAO administration.
