Representatives of Omosuo community area Iworoko along the Ekiti State University road have paid a courtesy visit to the office of Hon commissioner for Rural and community Development, Hon Awe Abimbola Femi in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.
Hon Femi Aluko, who led the delegates used the occasion to express the community’s major grievance while drawing the attention of the Commissioner to the problem with a view to helping to find a lasting solution to the community need.
According to him, Omusuo community had been in total darkness for the past ten years as a result of the faulty transformer that was said to have been damaged beyond repair.
In view of this,the community are appealing to His Excellency through the office of the commissioner to give them 500KVA Transformer.
In his response, Hon. Awe thanked the visitors for the warmth visit noting that the Governor Biodun Oyebanji-led administration has priortized the well being of Ekiti through the ongoing rural electrification projects across the state adding that Omosuo Community would not be left behind in the government efforts to provide uninterrupted electricity supply across the state.
In a related development, delegates from Itaji Ekiti led by Hon. Fatoki Wale also urged the Commissioner to facilitate the opening of farmsteads in their community as a matter of urgent importance to boost food production in the local community.
The Commissioner in a similar vein, promised that both communities’ requests would be channelled to the office of the governor without any delay urging them to join hands with the government of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in his commitment to ensure the equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy.
