Following the spate of insecurity in the country, the Executive Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government, Hon. Dele Omoleye has reiterated his administration’s commitment to address all security matters in the Local Government.
The Chairman disclosed this on Sunday in Ido-Ekiti as he mobilised security agencies for the joint patrol to prevent possible breaking down of law and order in the council area.
He said he would join hands with the State Governor, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, to fight insecurity in the state and urged the security personnel to be dutiful while discharging their duties
Omoleye, who donated a motorcycle last month to a security agent, said Ido/Osi has zero tolerance for criminal activities.
He called on traditional rulers in the local government again to declare war against criminality in their communities.
His words: “My administration can not fight insecurity without having nexus with all relevant stakeholders and that is why I will continue listening to people, especially on security matters.
“We acted based on security intelligence reports we got and we are happy that we were able to put everything in order”, he said.
