The Olupoti of Ipoti Ekiti Oba James Oladipupo Kolade and first Chairman of Majority Obas in Ekiti, (MOBEL) has condemned the killing of two of its members by suspected bandits yesterday.
The monarch in a statement said; “The dastardly murder of two members of Majority Obas of Ekiti Land (MOBEL) the duo of HRM Oba DR. QS Olusola Samuel Olatunji, the Olumojo of Imojo-Ekiti and HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti is hereby condemned and I urge governments at various levels to do something holistically about our security architecture.
” If this can happen to traditional rulers, the custodians of culture and traditional heritage, what is the hope of the common masses?. It is high time the sacred institution is protected. MOBEL members’ heart is bleeding”
The monarch expressed condolences to the people of Esun Ekiti and Imojo over the sad incident and the Ekiti Obas who he said are in mourning mood
