At least, about 100 beneficiaries of a vocational trainee program organised by a Non Governmental Organization- Princess Omotayo Adenike Foundation (POAF) will this Friday, September 29, 2023, graduate after a three month rigorous trainings in various vocations
The foundation which was the brainchild of Princess Omotayo Adenike was established to empower unemployed youths , widows, single mothers, orphans, civil servants and artisans in Ado Ekiti and the environs.
According to the Founder of the non-profit humanitarian organisation, Princess Adenike Omotayo and it’s major sponsor, Mr Shola Adeola ‘Cradle to Career Foundation’ noted that the ceremony scheduled for Ajibade Gardens GRA, Ado-Ekiti was part of concerted efforts of the foundation to contribute in it’s own little way to reduce poverty in the land by empowering unemployed people in the society with the three-month intensive practical training in Fashion Designing, Hairdressing , Shoe and Bag Making, Make up and headgear tying, Catering services amongst other vocations .
She disclosed that upon graduation, the trainees at the centre would be issued with certificates that would enable them to be gainfully employed in any part of the world.
Mrs Omotayo disclosed that the foundation’s gesture was to complement Government’s efforts to lift the unemployed and other vulnerable people out of poverty.
Omotayo disclosed that the physically challenged would be included in the third batch of the empowerment programme that would commence soon.
She added that the programme would be a continuous one with the active support of the Sponsor, Mr Shola Adeola Tajudeen Cradle to Career Foundation.
She noted that POAF Foundation had made significant impacts in some states in the north which includes; Nasarawa, Taraba, and Kano States
Omotayo added that POAF was established to train and empower the unemployed and the less privilege by turning them into successful enterpreneurs in their chosen vocations
Stressing that the Foundation was created by successful professionals willing to give back to the society, she stated that the vision of the foundation is to train, empower and financially support the needy to start and grow their own businesses and become successful entrepreneur/business owners.
She solicited for more Sponsors/Partners both in Nigeria and in the diaspora to support the Foundation and make it a continuous progress
