One of the newly elected councillors in the just concluded Local Government elections in Ekiti State, Mr Ojo Fadahunsi a. k.a “Ojo Ise” has attributed his success to the magnanimity of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
Fadahunsi who is one of the talented “JKF band boys“ team and Merry Makers at political events, was endorsed as Councilor by Mr Governor and unanimously supported by his people as a way of compensation for the sacrifices the band has made to the party through the years .
Having won the election , Ojo would represent his Ward 7, Oraye quarters of Ise Ekiti in the Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the State.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr Fadahunsi explained that becoming a Councilor was like a dream to him as none of his family members or fellow merry makers could believe Governor Oyebanji would be so magnanimous towards an ordinary drummer boy which signifies hope for other party faithfuls who may have been tagged ‘irrelevant’.
His words:
“My family will never forget Governor Oyebanji for the recognition given to all Fadahunsi lineage in Ise Ekiti and specifically the band boys, a Governor who bears his people at heart would always earn his peoples prayers and genuine support”.
Fadahunsi appreciated Oyebanji for taking him from the status of a nobody to somebody, and pledged his continued commitment to the Governor Oyebanji led administration.
He said Governor Oyebanji has often played the role of a father to the entire JKF Band Boys team even before becoming governor stating that the Governor is a man who naturally doesn’t joke with the welfare and well being of people ,no matter the status .
Fadahunsi said for the Governor and the party to have deemed it fit to count him worthy of an elective position is an indication that consistency and contribution to one’s political party in any way is indeed rewarding .
