MAN, 26, ARRESTED FOR STEALING N30,000 FROM STREET TRADER IN ADO EKITI

Nemesis has caught up with a 26 year-old robbery suspect, Friday Efoghae on Wednesday as he was arrested by the Amotekun Operatives of Oye Local Government Command.

The suspect according to report, hails from Edo State and he is a familiar face at the popular Fajuyi traffic intersection begging for alms and harassing motorists and passers by, who fail to grace his palms.

Further information revealed that Friday committed the crime on the fateful day under the pretence of begging for alms and stole N30,000 belonging to one unsuspecting Mrs. Tiamiyu Tosin, a road-side petty trader who was attending to a customer in the traffic.

Unknown to the suspect, one of the witnesses saw him on a bike immediately after committing the crime in his bid to flee the scene and had since stopped coming to the place.
The woman later incidented the case with the Amotekun office who swift into action leading to his arrest yesterday.

Narrating her ordeal to our correspondent, the victim said Friday unleashed violence on her biting her in the chest as he struggled to apprehend him before she was rescued by the security operatives lamenting the theft of the money meant for the payment of bitter kola to her creditor.
Friday has since been detained by the Police RRS for further investigation.
