Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on Friday, led other top government functionaries, public servants and members of the public to offer quality praise and worship to God at the January edition of Evening of Praise and Worship held at Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti.
It was a thrilling spirit filled experience where prayers were offered for peace and progress of the state amidst songs of praises to appreciate God in the new year.
Dignitaries at the soulful event included the Deputy Governor, H.E. Chief Monisade Afuye; the First Lady, H.E. Dr Olayemi Oyebanji; the SSG, Prof Habibat Adubiaro, HOS, Dr Folake Olomojobi, and EXCO members as well as senior civil servants.
Governor Oyebanji in his address, admonished the people of Ekiti not to be discouraged but learn to always commit everything into God’s hands, and watch Him take perfect control.
Earlier, a special rendition of “My Help Comes from the Lord” was presented by the First Lady. Dr Mrs Olayemi Oyebanji which literally ignited the atmosphere.
Recalled that the year 2025 was ushered in on a note of gratitude with an inter- faith thanksgiving service on January 2nd and crowning the month of January a praise and worship session.
