Ekiti State Government yesterday, began the first phase of distribution of 3,000 bags of rice sent by the Federal Government.
The distribution process which was well structured by the committee in charge and headed by Commissioner for Agric and Food Security, Mr Ebenezer Boluwade will captured almost every segment of the society as earlier indicated.
Groups of people who were attended to yesterday included Artisans , private sector, Iyalojas, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Elders Forum , NURTW , RTEAN, Cooperatives, People With Disabilities, Special Schools , Okada Riders and widows .
Representatives of these groups are expected to reach out to their members across the Local Governments especially the most vulnerable amongst them .
Distribution continues today .
