The leadership of Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum (JATUF), an umbrella body representing all Aviation Industry Trade Unions, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, on his retention by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement signed by the forum’s Secretary, Comrade Hector Nnadi, JATUF commended Keyamo’s unwavering commitment to advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector. The union emphasized that his retention is a clear testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to the growth of the industry.
“Your exemplary vision and drive for improving the standards within the aviation sector have not gone unnoticed. We especially applaud the recent reorganization initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of passengers and all stakeholders,” the statement read.
The Forum further highlighted several of the Minister’s key achievements, including Nigeria’s impressive 75.5% compliance score awarded by the Aviation Working Group (AWG) and the proactive steps taken towards collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for infrastructure development and aviation financing. These efforts, according to JATUF, have significantly strengthened the nation’s aviation ecosystem.
Additionally, JATUF lauded Minister Keyamo’s outstanding approach to industrial relations. “Your inclusive and transparent handling of challenging policy issues has set a new standard for stakeholder engagement,” the Forum noted.
“The leadership and members of all Aviation Trade Unions are hopeful that this productive relationship will continue and that critical issues will be addressed with the same dedication.”
JATUF remains optimistic about the future of Nigeria’s aviation sector under Keyamo’s stewardship, expressing confidence in his capacity to sustain and build on these achievements for the betterment of the entire industry.
