The All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the june 18th, 2022 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has unveiled his manifesto to the people of the State yesterday.
The colourful event took place at Adetiloye hall, Bashiri, Ado- Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
While addressing his teeming supporters, Oyebanji said his vision for a prosperous Ekiti is clear that he cannot do it alone, but with people
According to him, “We can keep the State working and achieve Ekiti of our dream”
Speaking further, Oyebanji said he is the best candidate to deliver “innovative, relevant, inclusive and realistic agenda” to Ekiti people out of all the contestants for the June 18, 2022 gubernatorial election in the State.
The former Secretary to the State Government said as the campaign commences, he is sharing the ideas that have been carefully designed to keep Ekiti State working with the people of the State. Noting further that the ideas have come from his interactions with various categories of Ekiti citizens at home and abroad. “I have listened carefully to all that have been said to me and i am deeply convinced that the task ahead is possible by God’s grace and with us working together. This is not a politician’s promise to a voting public but a pledge from Ekiti man to his people” he said.
The APC aspirant said his proposed strategic pillars of actions are all internet and ensure that there will be sufficient investment and attentions giving to specific areas he believes have the potentials to create opportunities to improve well being and deliver sustainable goals for everyone, from elderly to the youths, women, workers at State and Local government levels, small and micro- business owners, investors, teachers and lecturers and also our children.
He said his manifesto focuses on areas that need development to ensure that he delivers dream future Ekiti deserves. He gave the overview of the six pillars that represent his manifesto, showing the rational for focus and summarising his plans for the State.
These pillars include, Youth Development and Job Creation, Human Capital Development, Agricultural and Rural Development and Infrastructure and Industrialisation. Others include Tourism, Arts and Culture and Governance. He said he has absolute fate in the future of this great State and its people, and he is commited to leading from the front as the State continues on the road to a prosperous people and Ekiti that is safe and secured.
According to him, “My vision is for a State where every person has food to eat and somewhere to lay his head at night.
Where every young person has access to education and skills required to secure gainful employment, where women can live life of dignity and opportunity, where all our parents can send their children to schools to learn and Ekiti that is attractive to investors and businesses of all sizes that can bring jobs, developments and opportunities to our dear State” he said.
