‘HOW MY OFFICERS PLANNED ‘COUP’ ON MY BIRTHDAY’….PS TOBA-OJO

It was a dramatic moment this morning at the Old Iyin road Local Government Service Commission where emotions run dry as the Permanent Secretary of the Commission Mrs Titilayo Toba-Ojo openly expressed shock at the unexpected lavish birthday bash organized for her by the staff of the commission in celebration of her birthday.

The PS who arrived the office for her normal daily activities reportedly met a shock of her life as she met an office well equipped with all kinds of decorations, lightnings and birthday cake while the staff had gathered in the big office to celebrate with her.

Feeling unease and overwhelmed by the surprise package Mrs Toba-Ojo named some closed top staffers of the commission as ‘coup plotters’ as they never disclosed that an event of such magnitude was in the offing to her.

Appreciating the unusual show of love and comradeship the PS prayed fervently for the staff members for honouring her even without her knowledge.

Speaking to our correspondent at the end of the brief prayer session, Mrs Toba-Ojo did not hide her emotions as she said; “For any human being that blood is flowing in his or her veins would behave the way I did. I was so emotional. You know they never told me. These officers used to come to my office everyday. We see, we chat and we talk but till this morning nobody told me there was going to be anything like this. That’s the reason for my being emotional because this is a great surprise package that I never thought of in my life”

Reacting to a question whether the officers were reciprocating her good deeds, the elated top civil servant said: “I’m not to judge myself because they know me, they see me so they are to judge me. They probably may have known what they see in my life”

Speaking on her message to the officers in the Commission, Toba- Ojo said;
“My message to them all is that God will not allow me to disappoint them. God would assist me to continue to impact positively on each and every one of them. Some of them that need promotion, some of them that need advancement, some that need connections. God Himself will use me to connect with their destiny helpers. That is just my prayer to God Almighty”
