This move according to ETF is a significant milestone towards ensuring the safety, security and protection of hotels , guests and lodgers in Ekiti State.
According to a release signed by Prince Rotimi Awelewa, President ETF, the association noted that “We are delighted by the State Government’s decision to regulate the hotel and hospitality sector. This move is crucial for the growth and sustainability of tourism in Ekiti State. It is imperative that guests and lodgers feel safe, secure and protected during their stay in our beautiful state.”

The ETF believes that for Ekiti State to truly flourish in tourism, it is essential that the hotel and hospitality sector be sanitized and regulated. By mandating hotels to register with the Bureau of Tourism, the State Government is taking a step in the right direction towards fostering a conducive environment for both tourists and locals.
The ETF urges all hotels in Ekiti State to comply with this directive and ensure that they are registered with the Bureau of Tourism Development and also join the Association of Hoteliers in Ekiti State. By doing so, hotel owners will not only contribute to the growth of tourism in the state, but also prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests.
