Ahead of the sixth edition of Hike Ekiti Mountain Safari holding next month, the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development has declared its endorsement of the tourism fiesta.
In a press release issued by the Bureau and signed by the DG, Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre at the weekend, the endorsement letter reads; “The Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development hereby certify and endorse “Hike Ekiti Mountain Safari 6.0” adventure tourism event, an Initiative of Discover Ekiti Tourism Club and the 6th edition of the event which is jointly organized by the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development in conjunction with Discover Ekiti Tourism Club.
“The initiative reflects our shared dedication to fostering the growth of tourism in the state and promises to showcase the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Ekiti Mountain Tourism potentials.
“We are identifying with Discover Ekiti Tourism Club for their consistent dedication and commitment to organizing such a remarkable event and being the first organization to anchor Hiking and mountain tourism in Ekiti State.
“Their expertise and passion for tourism have played a significant role in positioning Ekiti as a premier tourism destination specially for mountain hiking tourism adventures.
“As the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, it is our duty to promote, and encourage tourism initiatives by collaborating and partnering with organizations and members of the private sector within and outside our state that love to showcase the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty that Ekiti has to offer.
“The Hike Ekiti Mountain Safari event scheduled to be held during the Easter 2024 Festive Season is a commendable endeavor that not only promotes outdoor activities but also enables participants to explore the breathtaking landscapes, majestic hills, and serene environment that define our state.
“By organizing hiking tours to Abanijorin Rock of Wonders and various scenic locations, the event not only promotes physical fitness and well-being but also exposes participants to the wonders of Ekiti’s natural beauty.
