A business group under the aegis of Private Sectors Development Organisation in Ekiti State has dissociated it’s members from the proposed hunger protest scheduled to hold from August 1, 2024

The group in a press release after their monthly state meeting held on Thursday, jointly dissociated it’s members from the planned nationwide protest.

During the crucial meeting, each speaker expressed strong objection to any protest in Ekiti State saying that Governor Biodun Oyebanji frantic efforts at providing good leadership in the state represents their hope in God that things will soon get better in the country.

Members in an unanimous voice thus condemned the proposed national protest alleging that some opposition elements are behind the move for their selfish motives.

In a related development, the group has directed the message to all other members in their respective local governments across the state that no one should partake in the protest noting that members from different zones should sponsor jingles to be used on various media platforms to sensitize members of the general public including the security agencies in the state dissociating themselves from any protest capable of causing chaos and unrest in the state.

It warned that anyone caught in any act of disturbing the peaceful co-existence in the state should be dealt with accordingly while urging parents to caution their children to stay away from the protest.
