Mrs Mary Oso -Omotoso, the DG, Bureau of Community Communications, was on November 16, 2024, bagged a historic award in far away Ile-Ife, the ancestral cradle of Yoruba people.
The prestigious award of Excellence organized by Heritage Leadership International Platform in partnership with the Akoni Oodua Diary was held at the inner Court of the Palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja1, the Ooni of Ife, Osun State amidst pomp and pageantry.
She and other distinguished women of substance were honoured at the 2024 Yoruba Heroines Hall of Fame investiture ceremony.
The DG who was unavoidably absent to receive the award as a result of pressing state matter was ably represented by Hon. Oluyede Fatai, Senior Special Assistant on Teachers Affairs, who received the prestigious award on her behalf.
During the citation, Mrs. Omotosho was lauded for her dedication to community development which was recognized by keen watchers of events in Ekiti State.
She was painted in glowing tributes as the architecture of grassroots development in Ekiti State because of her pivotal role in grassroots mobilization and her strategic support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration.
Omotoso was commended for her role in ensuring that the dividends of governance reach even the most remote corners of the state.
It was revealed that Governor Oyebanji’s choice of capable and passionate aides like Mrs. Omotosho reflects his astute leadership. His administration’s giant strides further affirms the synergy between his vision and the competence of those he entrusts with pivotal roles.
