Excitement, jubilation filled the air on Thursday as the Ekiti State care results (FADAMA) in partnership with the Executive chairman of Ado Ekiti local government, Hon. Chief Bosun Osaloni performed the commissioning of functional solar-powered Borehole and public Toilets projects at Ado Ekiti Shasha Market, Agric-Olope.
The projects which is under FADAMA was facilitated by the Executive chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Osaloni.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Ado Ekiti Council boss, Chief Osaloni said the present administration in the State made some promises during the campaign period, parts of which clean water and sanitation were sacrosanct.
Chief Osaloni commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State for fulfilling his electoral campaign promises.
The council boss lauded FADAMA for its impact in the state, adding that the FADAMA model is worth emulating by various levels of governments, urging the traders to take good care of the facilities.

Also, the Ekiti commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industry, Hon. Mrs. Omotayo Adeola who was one of the guests at the commissioning said the gesture was part of efforts of Ekiti State Governor, H-E, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at fulfilling the campaign promises as water provision and sanitation of environment were parts of the benefits of democracy.
She also appreciated the Executive chairman of of Ado Ekiti local government for collaborating with Ekiti Care Results (FADAMA) to achieve the feat while she urged the traders of Shasha Market to take good care of the projects.
Also addressing the gathering, the Commissioner For Agriculture Hon. Ebenezer Boluwade stated that the project is in line with vision of the state governor, who is very passionate about the welfare of the people and want the best for the people.
He said the facilities will no doubt, provide the needed succour for both the market men and women, urging them to see the facilities as their own and they should work in unity to maintain them so that when they need more, the government will not hesitate to come to their aid.
Also speaking, the FADAMA project coordinator, Mrs. Okunlola Olayemi Yetunde said people should expect more of these projects in the expansion of economy, health, education, security and well being of the people
She said, Water has many benefits for humanity noting that its absence can cause health crisis.

He said; “For us to preempt that, the State government is poised to make water available throughout the nooks and crannies of the State, I however, urge the traders to put the borehole and toilets facilities to effective use and proper management so as to ensure longevity”.
In their separate responses, the representative of Eyesorun of Ado Ekiti, the Seriki hausa of Ado Ekiti, the Iyalojas and the representatives of traders noted that the collaborative efforts by FADAMA and Ado Ekiti Local Government Chairman deserved commendation, they expressed their profound gratitude to Ekiti state government and Ado Ekiti local government chairman for the laudable gesture, they said the traders would always remember the name of the governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for good over the gesture while assuring that the facilities will be adequately taken care of and preserved for those coming behind.
