The ruling All Progressives Congress APC Ekiti State has commiserated with the Deputy Governor of the State Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye on the passing of her mother.
The party in a condolence message signed by Mr Segun Dipe, the State Publicity Secretary made available to newsmen on Wednesday The said:
“The entire members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State mourn the passing unto eternal glory of the mother of the Deputy Governor of our dear State, Olori Esther Iyalaje Adegboye
“Olori Adegboye bid the world bye in the early hours of Tuesday at the advanced age of 97. She was industrious, spiritual and kindhearted in her lifetime
“Losing a mother can be one of the most difficult and heart-wrenching experiences one rarely pray for, notwithstanding how old they may be. Coping with the loss can be challenging and better experienced than explained. Finding the right words of comfort to offer the children left behind is therefore daunting for us.
“It is for this reason that we stand by our Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, an illustrious daughter of Mama Adegboye this time, and wish her a life more fruitful and enduring. We share her feeling of the irreplaceable demise of her cherished mother.
“We are consoled that mama llived a life of legacy. She was wonderful in her lifetime, her influence was beyond calculations in the lives of her children in whose lives her bright light will continue to shine.
“We see the evidence of mama’s qualitative influence particularly in the life of the deputy governor, Chief (Mrs) Afuye and we know it’s also present in those of her other siblings. We see it in the heights they attained in mama’s lifetime. We are therefore urging all the children left behind by the deceased to take solace in the Almighty’s grace and in the cherished memories of the moments they shared with her.
“Mama was a wonderful person, and her memory will live on in our hearts. If her exit is a loss, then it is a loss to us all, but if it is something worth celebrating considering the legacy she has left behind for eternal glory, then it is a celebration for us all.
“Our hearts are with the children at this point, and we pray that they will find comfort at this most difficult time in the outpouring of love surrounding them and the entire family. We learnt that mama’s love and kindness were generously showered on everyone who knew her.
“May God give them all the strength and comfort during this time of mourning her exit as we continue to pray for happy memories of the exit of Olori Adegboye, our kindhearted mother, whose legacy will live on in our deputy governor, as well as other children mama is leaving behind.
