The Ekiti State Amotekun operatives has made arrest of a 32-year-old Oluwatoyin Sunday at Efon Alaaye last Thursday for alleged rape of a 25 year old lady (name withheld)
According to a press statement issued by the Head of Communication Department of the Corps, Adeleye Abiodun, the suspect was arrested by Amotekun operatives in Efon Alaaye Local Government on a tip off by the victim who reported the case at their office.
The lady upon interrogation by the Amotekun Officers, narrated her ordeal noting that she was washing clothes outside her rented apartment when the suspect suddenly forcefully pounced on her and lured her into his room where he committed the dastardly act.
She further explained Oluwatoyin’s previous attempts to ask her out which she constantly rejected.
However, the suspect has denied the allegation even as he has since been handed over to the Police in Efon Alaaye Jurisdiction for further investigation.
