EKITI AMOTEKUN CLAMPDOWN ON SUSPECTED CRIMINALS CAUGHT FOR STEALING, VANDALISM.

The past one week had been less palatable for criminals in parts of Ekiti state as the combimg the bush for secured environment launched by the operatives of Amotekun has led to the arrest of one Seun Asamolepo, an indigene of Ado
Ekiti who resides at Oke-Bola street in metropolis on Monday 14th October, 2024.

According to a press statement by the Corp’s Director of Communications, Adeleye Abiodun, thehe suspect, fell to the trap of Amotekun Operatives of Ado Local Government Command, during a patrol where he was caught for his alleged involvement in the stealing of government property, meant for the construction of ongoing flyover at Ijigbo area in Ado-Ekiti.

The suspect has been handed over to the police, Okesha Area Command in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State for further investigation.

In a related development, a 56 year-old man simply identified as Ayo Kayode was caught by the operatives of Amotekun Efon Always command during a night patrol on Tuesday for stealing fowls.
The suspect was said to have confessed to the crime upon interrogation by the security men claiming that he is a native of a border town in Osun State (Esa-Osun).
He revealed that he has created an escape route each time he commits the crime to his state origin.
The two suspects have since been handed over to the Police at Okesa and Efon Alaaye for further investigations.
