The Amotekun Operatives, Oye Local Government Command had arrested a 31-year-old man simply identified as Babatunde Moses, an indigene of Itaji-Ekiti for multiple crimes of stealing and threat to life.
According to reliable information from the security operatives, the suspect encroached on the farmland of Mr. Adeleye Emmanuel in Ayegbaju-Ekiti and stole his farm produce (nutmegs), popularly known as “Ario”.
It was gathered that the suspect did not stop at the theft of farm owner’s goods, he was also allegedly threatening the man and his son with a locally-made pistol loaded with bullets.
The suspect has therefore been handed over to the police RRS in Ado-Ekiti with the exhibits recovered from him for further investigation.
