EKITI AMOTEKUN APPREHEND SUSPECTED BANDITS IN IKERE

Nemesis caught up with two suspected armed bandits on Wednesday as they were nabbed by operatives of Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Ikere Ekiti outpost.

The Command in a press statement signed by the Head, Communication Department, Officer Adewale Adeleye made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Friday said
the two suspects who hailed from northern Nigeria were identified as Ballah Ibrahim 50, and 50-year-old Nasiru Abubarka both claimed to come from Sokoto State.

They were apprehended by the Amotekun Operatives in lkere-Ekiti Outpost Command during a Stop and Search Patrol along Akure Road in lkere-Ekiti.

Upon interrogation by the arresting Officers, the suspects said they were going for hunting at one forest in Eporo area of Emure-Ekiti.

On searching them, some exhibits such as: three (3) barrels, three (3) hunting dogs, one (1) cutlass and one (1) axe were recovered from them.

The duo, alongside the exhibits recovered from them, were immediately handed over to the Police Jurisdiction in lkere-Ekiti for further investigation and possible prosecution.
