EKIFEST 2024: TOYIN OJO HONOURS GOLD WINNING WRESTLER, FATOMIDE, CELEBRATES VICTORY WITH WORKERS

Unable to conceal his joy as the Chairman, who won the overall best Local Government in the just concluded EKIFEST 2024, the Executive Chairman of Ado Central LCDA, Engr. Toyin Ojo on Monday, organised a brief get-together in celebration of the memorable achievement particularly in honour of the ‘golden boy’-Sunkanmi Fatomide who represented the LCDA in wrestling contest and won gold.

Held at the Ado-Central Secretariat, Oke Oniyo, Ado Ekiti, Engr. Ojo lauded the record breaking traditional wrestler for his outstanding performance contest.

The council boss, thanked Fatomide for his exceptional display of skill and strength against his opponents, which led to the Council’s first-place finish out of 38 participating Local Governments and LCDAs in the state.

He attributed the success to the wrestler’s commitment and resilience spirit.

The Chairman assured Fatomide that the government would support him in reaching the peak of his wrestling career.

He also commended his staff for their cooperation and unwavering support, attributing the administration’s success stories to their dedication.

Mrs. Akin Awogboro, Director of Community & Social Services, thanked the Chairman for giving her department the freedom to operate, which led to their victory. She praised the timely release of funds and encouragement from the Chairman, which motivated them to succeed.

Com. Olaitan Alatise, Head of Local Council Development Administration, congratulated the Council Chairman on the victory, acknowledging his administration’s sterling performance and commitment to governance. He urged the Chairman to continue his good work and commended Fatomide and the staff for their efforts.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of cash gift to Fatomide and his coach, Mr. Audu Kayode.”
