EKIFEST 2024: CULTURE MINISTRY UNVEILS EVENT TIME TABLE

As clock is ticking to the 2024 edition of Ekiti Festival of Arts and Culture (EKIFEST) the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy has unveiled the official time table for the momentous event.

Scheduled to hold between August 6-10, 2024, the five day fun-filled program promises to be a thrilling experience showcasing the best of Ekiti culture and artefacts to the world.

According to the official even checkt time table signed by the Director Ministry of Arts Culture and Creative Economy Prince Banji Adelusi and made available to newsmen on Monday, the festival begins on August 5, 2024 with the arrival and registration of Local Governments and LCDAs contingents at Old cultural center between 7am till 7pm to be followed on Monday 6th 2024 with the opening ceremony and Street carnival to take place at designated areas within Ado metropolis between 7am-12noon.


The official opening of EKIFEST will hold between 2-6pm at Open Pavilion behind the Civic Center.
As the program progresses to the second day on August 7, audience will be thrilled with Dance and Drama competition.
Among other events lined up for the second day include: traditional wrestling, Bush Bar, traditional cuisine as well as Command performance of Okelangbodo at the Civic Center.
The third and fourth Day will feature more drama and music competition, traditional wrestling among others while EKIFEST 2024 will close on August 10 with an award ceremony to lucky participants.
