DURO FASEYI REITERATES EKITI PDP’S RESOLVE TO MAINTAIN ZONING POLICY

The Senator representing Ekiti North from 2015-2019, Sen. Duro Faseyi, has reiterated the party’s stance on the controversial demand to jettison its existing zoning arrangement.

Sen. Duro, on Tuesday, at the leaders and stakeholders meeting at Ilejemeje, said the PDP will stick to its custom of rotating its political offices among the senatorial district in the state.

There have been calls from some individuals, especially those from the desperate ones to jettison the rotation arrangement and throw the congress open.

Sen. Duro Faseyi urged interested aspirants whom the rotation arrangement for the 2024 Party congresses may not be in their favour to wait for their time.

“PDP has a history of rotating our offices. Anybody who doesn’t get it this time should wait after the tenure of whoever will be our next party officers

“We believe the South Senatorial is going to produce the next State Chairman, and this time around, we will ensure it goes round. And it will go round with justice, fairness and the interests of the party,” he said.

He concluded by saying the party in Ilejemeje has started a smooth process that will produce credible executives from the wards, and LG to return PDP back to power.

“The Leaders and Stakeholders in Ilejemeje adopted Hon. Chief Segun Akinwumi as the Candidate of Ilejemeje LG for the Deputy State Chairman of whoever the South Senatorial District resolve on as the State Chairman

The leaders meeting has the attendance of Senator Duro Faseyi, Hon. Gani Bakare, Hon. Chief Segun Akinwumi, LG Party Chairman, Hon. Oladipo Ebenezer, Hon. Joshua Oladimeji, Elder Gabriel Ajayi, Hon. Taiwo Owolabi, Hon. Samuel Falodun, All Ward Chairmen and Other party chieftain.
