
Overwhelmed by Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s unusual show of love and welfare for the downtrodden, many individuals, groups and Associations have thrown their weights behind the Governor’s second term in Office saying that Ekiti people are solidly behind him.
This was revealed at the launching of a 3-day distribution of Christmas rice to all categories of Ekiti residents including the PWDs, Information officers, veteran journalists, professional bodies, market women, newspaper vendors among others.
The colourful event organised by the Office of Bureau of Community Communications was held at Efunyela Hall, Governor’s Office Ado Ekiti on Thursday in a very ordely manner devoid of any commotion.
Over 1000 bags were distributed at the first day of the exercise.
Elated by the kind gesture coming at the auspicious moment of yuletide festivities, representatives of different groups present were unanimous in their support for Governor Oyebanji’s second term.
Responding to the calls, the DG Office of Community Communications Mrs Mary Oso Omotoso told the mammoth crowd that though the Governor has not expressly declared interest in going for a second term but his many legacy projects and life changing programs will speak for him at the appropriate time.
She however declared her intention to lead the vanguard of people canvassing for Oyebanji’s second coming.
