COMMISSIONER FOR WOMEN AFFAIRS EXTOLS LATE OBA NLA OF EFON AT 7TH DAY TRADITIONAL RITES

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon ‘Peju Babafemi has described the Late Obanla of Aaye Quarters, Efon Alaaye in Efon Local Government Area, High Chief John Fakorede as an exemplary community leader who upheld the values, traditional rights and customs of Efon kingdom during his lifetime.

Babafemi made the remarks at the 7th Day traditional rites for the deceased held at the Aaye Quarters, Efon-Alaaye.

In a press release signed by Mr Femi Bamisaye, Director Press, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the Commissioner remarked that the late Community Leader had left indelible footprints in the sands of time with his contributions to the development of the town.

Her words: “The late Obanla was a worthy patriarch, a patriot, an advocate of peace, and an impartial community leader. He was an astute team leader with a clear foresight and vision for the development of Efon Kingdom”.

Responding on behalf of the family, Dr. Johnson Fakorede appreciated the Commissioner for the visit and assured that the legacies of the late Chief would be sustained.

Dr. Johnson Fakorede used the occasion to commend the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on its developmental strides.
