A ghastly motor accident has claimed the lives of three Anglican church clerics of Ekiti Oke Diocese along Otun –Iro Ekiti road in Moba council Area of Ekiti State
Eye witness account told our correspondent that the deceased clergymen were travelling from Ipere Ekiti to Iro Ekiti when their bus somersauted several times and they died instantly.
Five other clerics who reportedly sustained injuries were receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti as at time of filing this report while bodies of the late clergymen have been deposited in the morgue.
Another Eye witness account hinted that one of the deceased Clerics, Reverend Felix Okeowo was recently transferred from Saint Peters’ Anglican church Ipere Ekiti to a branch of the church in Iro Ekiti and was going to his new station when the lone accident occurred.on their way to Iro.
Sympathizers at the scene wept uncontrollably over the sudden death of the three Clerics.
The two other late Clerics are,Reverend Arije of Saint James’ Anglican church, Eda Oniyo Ekiti and Reverend Omotoso of Saint Mary’s Anglican church, Ewu Ekiti.
