BARRISTER AGBEDE, EKITI HOS RETIRES

The Ekiti State Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede will be retiring from the Ekiti State Civil Service after 35 years of meritorious service as approved by the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

The chairman of the retirement planning committee of the Head of
Service, the Permanent Secretary General Administration Department
(GAD), Mr James Owolabi, who made this known in Ado-Ekiti, said Agbede will retire from the active service on August, 18th 2023.

Mr Owolabi disclosed that several activities have been outlined as
exit programmes for the retiring Head of Service among which are: Daybreak Nigeria to be relayed simultaneously on both the Radio and Television channels of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State by 8:00 am on 14th August, 2023 and will be followed immediately by a thank you visit to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) starting from Ekiti State University to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Local Government Service Commission and the State Secretariat on the same day.

The thank you visit to the MDAs will continue on Tuesday, August 15th
2023 to the Governor’s Office and its adjoining Offices, Ministry of
Works, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Local Government
Affairs, State Independent Electoral Commission and ends at the
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.

The statement stressed that the launch of the Stewardship Report of the Office of the Head of Service and the launch of Staff Development Centre Magazine will hold at 10:00 am at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

This will be followed by a novelty football match between male and female
Accounting Officers later in the evening by 4:00 pm at Oluyemi Kayode
Stadium on Thursday 17th August 2023.

It stressed further that the Head of Service will hold a valedictory
meeting with the Accounting Officers and thereafter, an official Hand
Over with the Senior Management Committee (SMC) members in a
valedictory meeting on Friday 18th August 2023.

The statement concluded that a special retirement thanksgiving programme will hold at CAC Oke Ibunkun, beside Captain Cook, Basiri, Ado – Ekiti with the reception at Damlek Event Centre on Sunday 24th September 2023.

All Accounting Officers are enjoined to attend the activities as applicable and mobilize their members of staff to the events.
