The Chairman of Ekiti State chapter of Okada Riders Association, Comrades Kunle Ashaolu has commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji over his efforts at fixing Ekiti roads to make life comfortable for Ekiti people.
He stated this in a chat with our correspondent on Wednesday.
The union leader, who expressed joy at Mr Governor’s recent tour of some of the road projects across the State said that members of his Association appreciate the ongoing rehabilitation of inter-city roads in Ado Ekiti metropolis.
He said: “I must first-of-all thank Mr Governor for starting very well in terms of road construction because there’s no Local Governments that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has not touched which every Ekiti person knows and on the issue of Federal road along Ijan axis, Governor BAO has made several visits to Abuja to make a strong case for the road as one of the busiest roads in Ado because it is the link road to other states in the North and we also thank Mr President for his prompt reaction at awarding the road construction to a notable contractor and very soon the project will kick off in earnest”
He expressed optimism that the high transport fare charged by members of his union will soon be a thing of the past when the roads are in good shape
“I’m sure when the roads are smooth and motorable for road users members of our Association will enjoy safe riding and reduce their fares ” he said.
